Hillsboro Beach Advocates Mission Statement

Hillsboro Beach Advocates mission is:

1.  Make the public more aware of:

• The increasing rate at which sand is being eroded from our beach, in large part due to the effect of the Deerfield Beach groins and the insufficient by-pass of sand by the Boca Raton Inlet

• The large and growing cost of the more frequent replenishment (nourishment) of sand that will be required to keep our beach.

2.  Encourage the Commission to take action NOW to remedy the major causes of the erosion.
